Ivan Lungin
Artist, Fall 2015


Born in Moscow in 1979. Lived in Paris from the age of 13. After moving back to Moscow Lungin exhibited painted folding beds at the Schusev Museum of Architecture (the exhibition was called “Sleeper Neighborhood”) and used sacks at ArtStrelka to barricade access to his own paintings done on unstretched canvas with ragged ripped-off edges. Practically as soon as he started exhibiting, Loungiune was nominated for the Kandinsky Prize.
